eStories Review - FREE Audiobooks Download

Hi beautiful bookworms, today I’m doing an eStories review! In this post I’m going to share with you my personal experience with this new audiobook service. If you’re looking for an alternative to Audible audiobooks, then this might me something you want to consider! You even get a FREE Audiobooks trial for 30 days so you can test them out first before deciding to subscribe with them.

Clean web interface, smooth searching

The first thing I noticed when I visited the eStories site on my browser is how clean everything looked and how easily navigable the site was. I’m a web designer by profession so I was super pleased when I visited the site, it’s exactly my aesthetic lol! (And yellow is one of my favorite colors, too!)

It was easy to learn more about what they offer and to browse through the site. There’s quite a selection from the big publishers up on their site, including titles like I Am Malala, Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, and the audiobook I ended up downloading: If I Was Your Girl.

I also like that when I’m signed on, the last ebook I’ve been listening to appears at the bottom of their site, and you can browse through their site while your ebook is playing uninterrupted.

Simple and effective app

I also went and tried their app for iPhones and it was also very easy to use. You can choose whether to download the ebook or stream it. I chose the streaming option because I don’t have enough space on my iPhone, lol!

I noticed a brief delay when I resumed streaming after exiting the app, but I’m assuming it’s just because the app is re-downloading the chapter that I’ve paused at. From the lock screen, I can also easily pause and play again, which is a relief because I have experienced in other apps the error of not being able to play on the lock screen after pausing. I’m glad eStories didn’t have that problem!

The only complaint I might have is that there aren’t any audiobooks from indie publishers. All in all, though, it was a pleasant experience! You can get one Audiobook for FREE if you sign up for a 30-day trial so you can check them out for yourself.

Well that sounds like an awesome service and I will try to see what they have as far as self growth. That is my thing. You have definitely done a good job at explaining the service. We need more positive feedback for new companies out there.

I have been looking a way to read more books. I think I should consider audiobooks. A free trial like this one is something that I want to try. $11.95/ month is a bargain. That is my allowance for books. I should check eStories out.

Thank you for bringing them to my attention.

Yeah it definitely is! I think in the long run it’s cheaper than Audible? Correct me if I’m wrong! And you’re very welcome, I hope you try out the service. 🙂

This is the first time I’m hearing about this! Do you like it more than Audible? I’ve been using Audible for a year now and I love it but happy to try new stuff!

Hi! I haven’t tried Audible before, actually! They seem to have more or less the same set of features, but since eStories has a free trial period it won’t hurt to create an account I think! 🙂
